TrixyTown

Protection matters.

TrixyTown is a hybrid solution that bridges both Player Protection and Player Gangs. With this mechanic, you can choose to be the leader of your own town or join an existing town with your friends and explore together!

TrixyTown - Mechanics

Creating a Town

A town can be created as easily as doing /town create <townname> in game. You can name it whatever you want as long as the name is not taken. Do note that there is a cost associated to creating a town.

Inviting Players to Your Town or Joining Another Town

You can invite players to your town using /town invite <playername> in game. You will not be able to send a join request to an existing town and will have to be invited by either a Mayor or a Trustee to be able to join the specific Town.

Town Roles

Each town has 3 roles:

  • Mayor - Town Leader

  • Trustee - Town Administrators

  • Member - Town Members

As a Mayor or a Trustee, you have the ability to promote or demote existing Members or Trustees, as well as removing them entirely from your Town utilizing either /town promote <playername> for promotions or /town demote <playername> for demotions or /town evict <playername> for player removals.

Town Claim Types

Each town has 3 claim types:

All claims are considered default unless modified.

Town Rules in the 'Claim' category applies here.

Town Claiming

As a town, you can now claim lands that you would like to own by using /town claim while standing on the specific chunk that you would like to claim. You get a limited amount of land claims per Town Level. You gain Additional Land Claims when you level up through TrixyLevel, which you can utilize via the Town Manager.

Additionally, you unlock the ability to generate Additional Land Claims when you unlock LV105, and the ability to purchase Additional Land Claims when you unlock LV200.

Each claim will always be a single chunk, denoting a size of 16x16 blocks, and unlimited chunk height. You can also utilize /town deeds, to view a list of claimed lands and their locations. To view your current location's claim map, you can obtain the visualization in chat via /town map.

Town Rules

Each town is governed by a set of rules, which can be modified by Town Mayor or Trustee themselves using /town rules. Each Town Claim Type' rules can be individually configured.

By default, your claims will not be able to be modified nor accessed by players not in your town.

Explosion Damage

When toggled, all explosion damage will be applied to that claim type.

Fire Damage

When toggled, all fire damage will be applied to that claim type. Fire damage here applies to your builds, not player damage.

Mob Griefing

When toggled, all mob griefing will be applied to that claim type. (i.e., a Creeper explosion will damage your builds.)

Monster Spawning

When toggled, hostile mobs will spawn in that claim type.

Public Build Access

When toggled, all players, even those not in your Town can build in that claim type.

Public Container Access

When toggled, all players, even those not in your Town can access your containers in that claim type.

Public Farm Access

When toggled, all players, even those not in your Town can plant / harvest your crops in that claim type.

Public Interact Access

When toggled, all players, even those not in your Town can perform interaction related actions in that claim type, i.e., using pressure plates, levers, item frames & etc.

PvP

When toggled, PvP will be enabled in that claim type.

Town Levels

All towns are associated with a Town Level and every town starts off at level 1. Each Town Level upgrade requires Currency to purchase and can be upgraded via /town upgrade. Each Town Level will always

  • Increase the amount of Town Claims that you can make by 6 claims per level.

  • Increase the spawner rates of your claims that are denoted as a Town Farm.

  • Increase the crop growth rates of your claims that are denoted as a Town Farm.

Additionally, on certain levels, you may also increase your Town Member limit, increasing from a base of 3, up to a maximum of 6. For detailed level information and costs, you may view them below.

Town Safe

Each town has its own safe where all members can contribute towards, similar to a bank mechanic. You can deposit and withdraw to a Town Safe, via /town deposit or /town withdraw. Town Levels can only be upgraded if you have sufficient funds in your Town Safe!

Town Customization

Each town has various customizations as well, including:

  • Town Bio - You can update the bio of your town via /town bio <bio>.

  • Town Greeting - You can customize the message that appears to other players when they enter your claim via /town greeting <greeting>.

  • Town Farewell - You can customize the message that appears to other players when they exit your claim via /town farewell <farewell>.

Additionally, you do not have to memorize all these commands as using /town itself will display a text graphic in the chat, which most elements are interactable by just clicking on them!

Town Ownership & Disband

A town can't exist without a Town Mayor. If you are a Town Mayor, and would like to leave your own town, you will need to either:

  • Execute /town disband to disband your town. This will permanently remove your town, all of its associated claims, level and members.

  • Execute /town transfer <playername> to transfer the ownership of your town. All of your town claims. level and members will be retained and you may leave your town as you please.
